BMTC Expands EV Fleet with 148 New Tata Electric Buses Equipped with CHEMITO ITMS
We are pleased to announce that 148 brand new Tata electric buses were inaugurated yesterday in Bengaluru by the Hon’ble Transport Minister of Karnataka, Dr. Ramalinga Reddy, under the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
What makes this addition significant is that all 148 newly launched Tata electric buses are equipped with CHEMITO's advanced Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS), ensuring enhanced safety, real-time monitoring, and efficient fleet operations.
With this deployment, the number of EV buses under BMTC equipped with CHEMITO ITMS has now grown to 1,069, comprising 921 previously deployed buses and these 148 new additions.
This milestone reflects BMTC’s shared commitment to building a smarter, safer, and greener public transportation network for Bengaluru.
