Rajmata Jijau Smart Buses Launched with Advanced ITS by Chemito Infotech
The ‘Rajmata Jijau’ smart bus service was inaugurated today at Vidhan Bhavan at 11:00 AM, marking a significant step toward modernizing Maharashtra’s public transportation system.
The ceremony was led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Sunetra Pawar, and Transport Minister & MSRTC Chairman Pratap Sarnaik.
Chemito Infotech Pvt. Ltd. proudly contributed to this initiative by deploying advanced Intelligent Transport System (ITS) kits in the newly launched buses, supporting smarter and more efficient public mobility.
The ‘Rajmata Jijau’ bus service is part of the rollout of 3,000 smart buses being introduced into the fleet of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. These buses are manufactured by Tata Motors and are equipped with ITS technology enabling real-time tracking, improved passenger safety, efficient fleet management, and enhanced operational control.
This initiative reflects a strong blend of Maharashtra’s cultural heritage and modern technology. With the integration of intelligent systems, the buses are set to deliver safer, smarter, and more reliable travel experiences, strengthening the state’s public transport network.
